Jessica Kappus-Dolan:
Continuing a Legacy of Dedication and Skill
Jessica Kappus-Dolan’s plumbing journey began at a tender age of seven, as she embraced the family legacy at Kappus Pumps & Plumbing. Originating from the United Kingdom, she spent her summer vacations in the United States, eagerly participating in plumbing projects alongside her
grandfather and uncle. These experiences immersed her in the family trade, shaping her understanding of the business.
Upon relocating permanently to the United States at the age of ten, Jessica devoted her summers and free time to working with the family. In 2014, she graduated from Putnam Valley High School, underlining her dedication to education and the family enterprise. Pursuing a degree in business
administration at Westchester Community College, she simultaneously worked part-time at the family plumbing business.
Displaying an entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic, Jessica expanded her horizons by venturing into the restaurant industry. Evenings were devoted to pizzeria work, a testament to her determination. At just 23, she successfully established her own pizzeria in LaGrangeville, N.Y.
However, her passion for plumbing brought her back to her roots.
Jessica has rejoined Kappus Pumps & Plumbing, injecting a fresh perspective and renewed dedication into the family legacy. As a junior Plumbing technician, she collaborates with her Aunt and Uncle, merging her experience and family values to serve clients. Jessica is committed to
honing her expertise and is actively pursuing her NYS DEC well pump installers certificate, showcasing her resolve to grow and contribute to the family business.
