Paul Kappus
Owner & Lead Technician | Fourth-Generation Manager
Paul Kappus, born in 1974 and married to Jess Kappus, represents the fourth generation of leadership in the Kappus family business. He began working with his father, Dave Kappus, at just 12 years old — spending summers and weekends learning the trade and gaining hands-on experience in the field.
Driven by a passion for mechanical systems and professional craftsmanship, Paul earned a Certificate of Excellence in Technology from the Future Business Leaders of America. He became a shareholder in the company in 1999 and stepped into a management role, continuing to modernize and expand the business while preserving its century-old reputation.
Paul holds a New York State Well Pump Installer’s License (since 2007) and a Putnam County Journeyman’s License (since 2002). His skill set extends far beyond plumbing and pump systems — he’s also trained in carpentry, welding, electrical work, machining, automotive, and marine restoration.
Outside of work, Paul is a lifelong racing and boating enthusiast. He spends his free time offshore fishing, snowmobiling, and fabricating high-performance boats and engines in his personal restoration shop.
As a hands-on leader and mentor, Paul invests personally in training each team member. He believes that the satisfaction of his employees is just as important as the satisfaction of his customers — and that a well-trained, fulfilled team is the foundation of excellent service.
Jessica Kappus-Kappus Dolan (Jess, or The Other Jessica)
Lead Technician | Licensed NYS Well Pump Installer
Jessica Kappus-Dolan’s journey in the trades began early — at just seven years old, she was already helping with plumbing projects alongside her grandfather and uncle during summer visits from the United Kingdom. Those early hands-on experiences sparked a deep connection to the family business and laid the groundwork for her future in the water system industry.
After moving permanently to the U.S. at age ten, Jessica continued to work summers and weekends in the field. She graduated from Putnam Valley High School in 2014 and later pursued a degree in business administration at Westchester Community College — all while helping with the family business part-time.
Entrepreneurial and hard-working, Jessica opened her own pizzeria at just 23 years old in LaGrangeville, NY. But her passion for well systems and helping homeowners brought her back to her roots.
Today, Jessica is one of our lead technicians and one of the few women in New York State to hold a DEC Well Pump Installer’s License. She’s known by many of our customers simply as “the other Jessica” (not to be confused with Paul’s wife, Jess Kappus), and she’s often the one clients speak to when calling in for technical help, estimates, or job planning.
Jessica is highly praised in our Google reviews and plays a critical role in both field service and customer communication. Her technical skills, professionalism, and personal dedication to doing the job right make her an irreplaceable part of our team.

Skater & Hank
HR & Complaints Department
No visit to the office is complete without a warm (and loud) greeting from Skater and Hank — our beloved office dogs and unofficial morale managers. Skater oversees HR (and yes, no employee gets hired without his approval), while Hank proudly runs the Complaint Department… though he’s often asleep on the job.
They’ve been known to bark during phone calls, supervise lunch breaks, and monitor driveway traffic with impressive enthusiasm. And when tensions run high, Hank is shockingly effective at diffusing just about any situation — usually with a well-timed sigh or face flop.
You’ll probably hear them in the background when you call — consider it part of the experience. They may not fix pumps, but they keep the rest of the crew in line.
