Common Water Problems We Fix:

Orange or black staining? → That’s iron or manganese.

Cloudy water? → Sediment, silt, or minerals.

Rotton egg smell? → Often caused by sulfur or bacteria.

White buildup on fixtures? → Hard water (high calcium & magnesium)

Health concerns? → Bacteria, nitrates, or VOCs may be present.

Systems We Install & Service:

Whole-House Iron Filters, Sediment Filters & Cartridges, Water Softeners (Hardness Removal), Carbon Filters (Taste, Odor, Chlorine), Tannin Removal Filters, UV Light Systems (Disinfection), Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Systems, Custom Multi-Stage Systems designed for private wells.

Which System Fixes Which Problem?

Every well is different, so the right fix depends on what your test actually shows. Here’s how we match the problem to the solution:

Orange, brown, or black staining – iron and manganese. We install a whole-house iron filter, often air-injection so there are no chemicals to mess with. See iron filters & more.

Rotten-egg smell – sulfur (hydrogen sulfide) or bacteria. We treat it at the source with oxidation and filtration, or UV if the cause is bacterial. See UV treatment.

White scale and buildup on fixtures – hard water (calcium and magnesium). A water softener removes the minerals that wreck fixtures, appliances, and water heaters.

Cloudy or gritty water – sediment, sand, or silt. A sediment filter or cartridge system clears it and protects everything downstream, including your pump and pressure tank.

Blue-green stains or pinhole leaks in copper – acidic, low-pH water. An acid neutralizer raises the pH and stops the corrosion before it eats your plumbing.

Bacteria, coliform, or a health concern – a UV disinfection system kills bacteria and viruses without chemicals. We usually set it as the final stage after the water is filtered clean.

Bad taste, chlorine, or odor – a carbon filter polishes the water and improves taste and smell. Add reverse osmosis at the kitchen tap for the cleanest drinking water.

Most homes need a combination. That’s why we test first and design a multi-stage system in the right order – so each stage protects the next and you only pay for what your water actually calls for.

Water Filtration Systems – Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know what water filtration system I need?

It starts with testing your water. Different problems need different systems, so we test first, identify the real issues, and then design a system around your results. We do not sell one-size-fits-all packages. Whether the problem is iron, sediment, hardness, bacteria, or taste and odor, the test tells us exactly what your home needs.

What are the most common water problems you fix?

The most common issues we see are orange or black staining from iron or manganese, cloudy water from sediment or silt, a rotten egg smell from sulfur or bacteria, white buildup on fixtures from hard water, and health concerns from bacteria, nitrates, or VOCs. Each one has a specific solution, from softeners and carbon filters to UV disinfection and reverse osmosis.

What is the difference between a water softener and a filter?

A water softener removes hardness minerals like calcium and magnesium that cause white buildup on fixtures and appliances. A filter removes contaminants like iron, sediment, chlorine, or bacteria. Many homes need both, which is why we often design a multi-stage system that handles softening and filtration together for whole-house protection.

Will a filtration system work with my well pump and tank?

Yes. We design every system to integrate cleanly with your existing well pump and pressure tank, including the plumbing, electrical, and bypass work. Proper filtration also protects your pump and tank by reducing the sediment and buildup that wear them out, so the whole system lasts longer.

Is water filtration worth the cost?

For most homes on a private well, yes. Clean water protects your family’s health, keeps fixtures and appliances from staining and scaling, and improves taste and smell. A properly designed system also extends the life of your pump and tank. We offer financing to make it more affordable, and we recommend only what your water test actually calls for.
